Introduction: Royal Gibraltar Regiment (RGR)

The Royal Gibraltar Regiment is a small army garrison stationed on the island of Gibraltar and part of the British overseas territorial forces protecting Royal Naval facilities. It was first formed in 1958 from the existing Gibraltar Defence Force as an infantry unit, with a small integrated artillery troop. In 1991, all other British forces withdrew from the island and RGR took over duties as the sole remaining resident regiment. Today, the regiment undertakes army ceremonial tasks in Gibraltar as it is the only major unit based there. As of 2023, the Royal Gibraltar Regiment was reported to have a strength of 235 personnel.
The regimental motto which is emblazoned on the regiment's flag is Nulli Expugnabilis Hosti1 which stands for "No enemy will defeat us."

Royal Gibraltar Regiment Headquarters/Camp Flag

1:2 Ratio Camp Flag. Based on this photo.

I came across a Gibraltari flag, which is probably military related. Based on the post, the picture were taken during the coronation parade one year ago in London as part of the Overseas Territories and Commonwealth detachment. There is a red flag with Gibraltari tower between flags of Montserrat and Falkland Islands.

In this photo is pictured a similar design that is documented as "Royal Gibraltar Regiment Standard."

It is the Royal Gibraltar Regiment camp flag.

I was just amazed that this camp flag was used to represent Gibraltar during the coronation parade. But the picture was probably taken during rehearsals and preparations. During the parade, the flag of the territory was carried, as evidenced by this attached picture.

3:5 Ratio HQ/Camp Flag. Based on this photo.

Upon closer examination I believe the RGR Camp Flag shown has a ratio closer to 3:5 (as it would drag on the ground otherwise). The yellow seems more of a yellow gold color. It's a bit different from Olivier's drawing, but apparently we based them on the same photos. There were also smaller variants of this flag used as guidons carried by the military formations.
[See: this photo as an example.]

The Gibraltar Regiment as an infantry regiment has no standards but colours, they are shown in detail on this FOTW page. The King's Colours is a Union Flag (Great Union) with badge on the centre (here just a red disc with name in gold). The regimental colour had been white parted by a red St. George's Cross. The colour was changed to blue, probably when the regiment was upgraded to a royal regiment. The badge on the regimental colour displays castle and key as expected. [See: Your Gibraltar TV and this photo as examples.]
Klaus-Michael Schneider, 2 June 2024

Note that in the 2015 parade the regiment guidon is being carried by several branches of the military, which to me at least seems strange for a regimental flag. [See this photo example.]

Royal Gibraltar Regiment Variant
Commercial Manufacturer's Variant

[flag] image by Pete Loeser, 23 July 2024

This simplified and modified flag variant of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment is being sold commercially. I have not seen it in actual use by the RGR or any other official agency.
It centers the RGR shoulder patch on a white field.

Royal Gibraltar Regiment Band Guidon

Based on this photo.

This military guidon was used by the Royal Gibraltar Regiment Band during the 2015 ceremonies held on Gibraltar. It had a gold fringe (not shown here) and the RGR emblem had a silver lightning bolt behind it. It was attached to the pipes of a marching bagpipe player at the rear of the bands formation.
